TWO GIRLS AND ONE BOY

WHERE GOD AIN'T ..

He was just a little boy, on a week's first day.

Wandering home from Sunday School,

and dawdling on the way.

He scuffed his shoes into the grass;

he even found a caterpillar.

He found a fluffy milkweed pod,

and blew out all the "filler."

A bird's nest in a tree overhead,

so wisely placed up so high.

Was just another wonder,

that caught his eager eye.

A neighbor watched his zig zag course,

and hailed him from the lawn;

Asked him where he'd been that day

and

what was going on.

"I've been to Bible School,"

he said and turned a piece of sod.

He picked up a wiggly worm replying,

"I've learned a lot about God."

"M'm very fine way,"

the neighbor said,

"for a boy to spend his time."

"If you'll tell me where God is,

I'll give you a brand new dime."

Quick as a flash the answer came!

Nor were his accents faint.

"I'll give you a dollar, Mister,

if you can tell me where

God ain't."

Sunday evening (July 8th.)

As has been our tradition

for many years,

our

Bible School

began

with

family picnic / wiener roast at

Bob and Anna Mae Coulter’s

pond

on Sunset Road in Clay City.

Our Bible School continued each night

(July 9th through July 12th)

Monday – Thursday

from 6:00 PM until 8:15 PM.

Bible,

God's Holy Word,

onto my feet and a light

Our theme this year was

"Living Like A King’s Kid"

Pastor Dick presented stories

from the life of Joseph

in a unique fun style, through

songs, balloons, special effects,

in which

our children truly enjoyed

and could easily

understand,

also very interesting to all

adults.

Each night,

promptly at 6:00 PM,

upbeat music,

Thursday a truly great band,

consisting of the loud sound of

drums,

(WOW!!!!

what a treat for our children)

wonderful guitar

and piano

accompaniment,

gave our children the

"BOOST"

to begin an evening

of songs,

each child participating,

jumping,

clapping, bending, shouting,

whatever the

song and music

movements required,

the

kids had a blast

along with song leaders

keeping us in step

with the songs and back ground

music

WONDERFUL MUSIC

and making motions with the songs

for many years to come"

COOKIES, CAKE, FRUIT,

HOT DOGS,

VEGGIES,

(yes veggies, children love

veggies with

the variety of veggie dips)

DRINKS OF PUNCH, LEMONADE

AND TEA

UPDATE:

PASTOR BRAD'S EMAIL OF 7-14-07

So far we have heard back

from one of our

balloons.

It landed near

Mt Carmel,

about 20 miles from

the Indiana State line.

We launched them

Wednesday evening.

The balloon

belonged to #7, Abby.
