KJV Scripture: Revelation 22:6-12 The Book of Relation was written to the Church.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. 10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. We all have a special date that we remember. A date that marks a period of time in history that carries a special importance to us. You may recall some of these dates:
December 7, 1941 – Japanese attack of Pearl Harbor.
November 22, 1969 – Assassination of John F. Kennedy.
September 11, 2001 – Terrorist attack of World Trade Center.
There is another special date coming in the future. A date that will impact the entire world and be a global event. The coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Only God, our Father in Heaven know the date set for Christ return. It can not be predicted by man, it can not be told in a fortune, by magic or by Satan. In Matthew 24:36, Jesus said, "But the day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my father only."
Jesus will come soon to take those who have accepted his free gift, those who have trusted him as their Savior. He will come quickly, without warning. I Corinthians 15:51-52 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. I Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
On that special glorious day; what will you be doing?
Will we be out doing the business of Jesus Christ?
Will we be witnessing to the lost?
Will we be reaching out to those without hope?
Will we be giving the world the good news of Jesus Christ?
When Jesus Christ returns, it should be every Christians goal to be doing the business of our Lord.
Be engage in activities that will please Jesus.
Speaking words pleasing to Jesus.
Reaching out to the lost souls and those without hope.
Doing the things God would have us doing.
Thank you, Charles
